Description
Our Face Fit test kits enable a qualitative respiratory fit test for tight fitting respirators in line with the COSHH (Control of Substance Hazardous to Health) and the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) regulations for the mandatory testing of respiratory protective equipment (RPE).
The kits works by the detection of a harmless, bitter tasting solution of Bitrex®, or Saccharin sweet solution during a series of different exercises over a period of time.
Qualitative Face Fit Testing Kit:
- Fit test hood – large clear hood placed over the wearer’s head during testing
- Nebulisers (x2) – used to spray the test solutions inside the hood
- Sensitivity test solution ampoules – typically 12 × 2.5 ml (used first to confirm the wearer can taste the solution)
- Fit test solution ampoules – typically 12 × 2.5 ml (used during the actual fit test)
- Instructions for use – guidance on how to carry out the test correctly
